The MB-84 Buoy, when moored with BuoyTec's Elastic Mooring Array, provides the industry with pin-point accuracy for such critical tasks as pipeline and underwater hazard marking, dredged material management, and as guard buoys for the oceanographic community. These buoys are limited to a horizontal buoy displacement of 5 to 10% of the water depth by the elastically tethered configurations, compared to the 150 to 300% typical of conventional slack mooring schemes.
