Underneath 10,000 lb telemetry buoy connected to ocean bottom with 2-leg BuoyTec Elastic Mooring in Maalaea Bay, Maui. Due to shock eliminating character of the Elastic Mooring, anchor and buoy chain (pictured above) is comprised of relatively light, 1/2 inch, non-alloy steel.
